QUIPP
SYSTEMS INSTALLS A $1.5 MILLION PROJECT
AT THE MOBILE REGISTER
Miami, FL, May 31, 2002 - Quipp Systems, a leading
supplier of post-press systems to the newspaper industry is finalizing
the installation of a major system order at the new building of
the Mobile Register, which is Alabama's oldest newspaper.
The
system purchased by the Mobile Register consists of Quipp 400 Series
Stackers, Viper Bottomwrappers, Matte Top Conveyors, Automatic Cart
Loaders (ACL), Carts, and the Quipp Bundle Distribution System (BDS).
Quipp
is providing a network of distribution conveyors that is accessed
by nine stacker positions and delivers bundles to three cart loaders.
The
Automatic Cart Loader (ACL) has controls that allow it to produce
carts loaded with the desired number of bundles. Utilizing proven
technology and quality components, Quipp's Automatic Cart Loader
System is manufactured in accordance with Quipp's high standards,
to assure product accuracy and years of reliability.
Quipp, through its subsidiary, Quipp Systems, designs, manufactures
and installs material handling systems to facilitate the automated
bundling and movement of newspapers from the printing press to the
delivery truck. Products include conveyors, stackers, bottomwrappers,
floor equipment, palletizers, cart loaders and computer-based controls
systems, as required.
