COMPLETE INSTALLATIONS OF THE QUIPP AUTOMATIC
PALLETIZER SYSTEM (APS)

Miami, FL, January 28, 2003 – Quipp Systems, Inc, a leading supplier of post-press equipment and systems to the newspaper industry, identifies the major installations of the Quipp Automatic Palletizer System (APS).

Complete installations include the Denver Rocky Mountain News, the Washington Post Springfield plant, the Philadelphia Newspapers Inc. Conshohocken plant and The Oregonian, Portland, OR.

These installations vary greatly in magnitude. The largest of them is capable of handling products from any of the 27 production lines to four (4) Quipp Palletizers. The Quipp APS handles large daily ROP runs and Sunday insert packages. In a different site, the Quipp APS handles collated products for the Sunday operation.

After extensive testing, the Quipp Palletizer was selected because of its unique design and capability of moving, wrapping and palletizing products in one simple operation.

The Quipp APS also provides safety features, material and labor savings, as well as, user-friendly software that incorporates advanced diagnostic capabilities.
