its illustrious predecessors, the Series 500 accurately counts,
batches, and delivers stable, compact bundles, either compensated
or straight, at a rate of up to 65 bundles per minute. Bundles of
tabloids or broadsheet newspapers are handled with the same ease
and efficiency at press speeds that can far exceed 85,000 copies
per hour.
Since
1983, Quipp is building Stackers that are easily programmed to build
compensated bundles up to 16" tall and as many as nine (9)
batches per bundle.
Stacker
Performance - Raising the Standards
The Series 500 incorporates innovations that raise the standards
for stacker performance.
- A
new integrated Safety Light Curtain with fast acting turntable
brake, preventing possible operator injuries.
- A
new, more advanced Quipp Count-Pro II Laser Sensor, improving
count
accuracy.
- A
brighter, enhanced Touch Screen Control, offering additional
operation and maintenance aids.
- "Factory
floor" Ethernet Communication, allowing seamless uploading
or
downloading of parameters between stackers and plant network.
Model
500C Newspaper Stacker
The
Series 500 also includes the Model 500C, which has 2 additional
enhancements:
- Bundle
Compression Capability, squeezing out excessive air to produce
a more compact bundle.
- Stream
Squeeze Roller, producing a tighter fold for improved bundle
quality.
