The QUIPP Stacker Programming System 32 is a PC based computer product,
which controls the bundle size output of one to four stackers. Each
stacker can be controlled to output bundles from one or both sides.
The software is written as a flat 32 bit environment to run on a
Windows 95 platform. The software is designed to stay consistent
with the prior 3350 DOS based system.
The data for a production run is loaded onto the computers hard
drive by a remote down load network drive or floppy disk transfer.
The data may be edited, once it is on the computer. The manifest
data describes the bundle requirements for trucks. These trucks
may then be further subdivided into routes. Each route is assigned
a draw (number of papers). During production, the truck and route
data is used to control the bundle size output of the stacker to
produce the exact count requirement for the truck. The stacker programmer
provides truck editing functions available any time except during
actual loading of a truck. This allows for easy modification of
stored truck draw requirements.
Bundle
identification can be achieved by interfacing a Quipp Labeler Printer/
Applicator with the programmed stacker. Unique data may be specified
within the manifest to vary the message on each bundle.
